The USA Patriot Act issued by the U.S. Department of the Treasury requires Covered Financial Institutions to obtain certain information from Foreign Banks for which they maintain correspondent accounts in the United States.

The US Patriot Act Certificate provided herein, is meant at meeting the requirements defined in the US Patriot Act, which stipulated that a US bank or a US broker-dealer in securities (a 'Covered Financial Institution') is required to obtain certain information from any 'Foreign Bank' that maintains a correspondent account with it.
